Ability to solve legal problems starting from the correct identification of the applicable legislation.

Prerequisites
The final test can be made by students who have passed: General Constitutional Law, Private Law I; Special constitutional law.
Teaching Methods
Professor-led classes: 40 hours
Type of Assessment
Midterm test: Students attending class (frequentanti) will be allowed to make a written test intermediate which (at student's choice) can be considered as part of the final test.
Final test: for students not attending or for those attending who have not passed the written intermediate test, the final test will focus on the entire program (see recommended text books).
Course program
The course will focus on the aspects of public law related to freedom of information and communication, with particular reference:
a) the constitutional framework of freedom of information and communication;
b) development of the national and EU regulation of electronic communications;
c) the regulation of electronic communications, with particular reference to the governance system, the economic and legal evolution on the sector;
d) Internet;
e) governing the broadcast media: evolution and current discipline, with particular reference to the organs of government, the regulation of the sector and to the discipline of the public service;
f) freedom of the press: historical evolution and current legislation.
g) the regulation of the theatre sector (general survey).
