International society, with particular attention to the UN and the use of force in international relations. Subjects: states, international organizations, other subjects, and individuals (diplomatic protection, international protection of human rights, international crimes). Sources: customary international law, treaties, subordinate sources, relationship between international law and municipal law. State responsibility. Peaceful settlement of disputes; the International Court of Justice.
The students may use their notes from the lectures together with the reading materials to be distributed during the course.
